Kabi Longtsong - Where Sikkimese History Was Initiated

Kabi Lungchok is a place of religious and historical significance in Sikkim. The place is located about 17 km away from Gangtok ,

The historicity of the site is attributed to the fact that the Lepchas, the ethnic tribal’s of Sikkim and Bhutia’s (ethnic Tibetans), the immigrants from Tibet who settled down in Sikkim from the 14th century onwards, ceremonially signed a "Treaty of Blood Brotherhood" with religious fervor. As you travel towards north Sikkim from Gangtok, the route meanders through small villages flanked by fields and valleys until it hits the forest grove of Kabi Lungchok.
