Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden

Not all gardens created by God are equal- one such proof is Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden.   Kirstenbosch is a significant botanical garden located at the eastern foot of Table Mountain in Cape Town. There are many reasons for liking this garden: picnics on the lawns, climbing up Skeleton Gorge, take pleasure in a glass of chilled Chardonnay before a summer sunset concert, travel around the many shady trails, and capturing the panoramic views from the canopy walkway. The 528-hectare Kirstenbosch Estate contains over 7000 species of plants from southern Africa and falls under the Cape Floristic Region, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Apart from these Kirstenbosch includes a fragrance garden, a medicinal garden, a protea garden, a Braille trail, and a cycad amphitheatre.
