• The official currency is the New Zealand Dollar (NZD). You need to change the currency to New Zealand dollars. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted in NE zealand, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. ATMs are also readily available.

• New Zealand has a lot of Indian restaurants in all major cities across the country. You can get very good Guajarati style, Maharashtrian style, south Indian meals, Punjabi and Rajasthani style, and Mumbai style fast food in New Zealand with flamingo tour. 

• A: Yes, most restaurants and cafes offer vegetarian and vegan menu items. New Zealand is accommodating of various dietary preferences. Veg thai, veg Mexican, veg pizza, veg burgers are easily possible. 

Food And Water

• Breakfast: Your breakfast is normally a continental or American breakfast which usually will have Tea or Coffee, Juices, Cereals, Milk, Breads, Butter, Jam, cheese.  Some hotels may provide hash brown potatoes or hot potatoes or hot beans. No Indian item or Jain item will be available. 
• Lunch & Dinner: may be a combination of Indian / Continental or local vegetarian or packed. Local lunch can be pizza, pasta or Mexican or subway. But all vegetarian. 
• Jain passengers: Please note, the Jain food which may be provided will be without onion, garlic & potatoes. Any further restriction from the above for vegetables etc cannot be accommodated. Also there will be restricted choice of vegetables, curries items for jain passengers. 
• A meal doesn’t include any Water Bottles, Beverages Hard/Soft drinks, Fruit Juices.  
• Drinking water: Tap water throughout New Zealand is safe to consume, so you are advised to carry an empty bottle that you can refill anytime.
• Meals: A meal does not include water bottles, beverages, soft/hard drinks, or fruit juices.
• Non-vegetarian travelers: Please inform us at the time of booking if you prefer non-vegetarian meals.
• Some meals on tour may be packed meals for smoother itineraries and the convenience of our passengers.
• Please note that lunches and dinners are arranged in restaurants, which may be located away from your hotels.
• If you feel sick or unwell during the tour, we will guide you to medical facilities, but the tour will continue as scheduled, and the tour manager will proceed with the group. You will be on your own until you rejoin.
• Meals: Indian meals are arranged wherever possible; however, in certain regions, options may be limited, and adjustments may be required.

*In the cruise, the meals will be served as per the cruise policy. 

Chef Tour Meal Notes:

Breakfast: 

• Cold Breakfast spread with items like Milk, Cereal, Fruits, and breads along with 1 hot Indian Items. 
• In Christchurch we will have hotel breakfast as per their menu.

Lunch: 

• Afternoon lunch will be a minimum of two or three Items such as Pav Bhaji, Puri Bhaji, Bhel, Chole Puri, Biryani Curd, Handva etc. will be served in outside Picnic areas & Parks. (Subject to weather conditions &  permissions, the time of this meal can vary)
• Lunches will be a combination of restaurant & casserole lunches.

Dinner:

•  Indian Dinner will be served in the hotel or in an Indian restaurant with a full set menu of that city.
• Despite having a chef on board, some meals will be prepared by the restaurant due to logistic reasons. (Specifically on days with intercity flight or long distance road travel)
• In few hotels we will provide hotel breakfast
• In Christchurch meals will be in Indian Restaurant.
• Due to unavoidable circumstances any meal on tour can be packed meal due to operational issues.

• Tap Water throughout New Zealand is Safe to Consume and therefore request you to carry an empty bottle with you which you can refill whenever you wish to.

• Most public toilets are free of charge for general use. 

• There is a shortage of manpower in New Zealand which makes porter service either very expensive or not available for most hotels.
• Porterage in Any of Tours is not included. It will be passenger’s responsibility to carry their bags to and from the Coach and their room. 
• We recommend you to carry light so you can pull your bags in and out of the rooms on own easily. 

• On the tour luggage allowance in the coach will be one handbag and one 23/20 kgs check in bag per person. 
• Even when flying within New Zealand, in domestic flights, one 23/20 kgs check in bag and one 7 kgs hand carry will be allowed. 

• Yes, tipping is compulsory in new Zealand. 
• You will have to pay NZD 5.00 per person per day for the Duration of your tour. Kindly pay the same on arrival to the Tour Manager (Applicable on both adult and child) 

• Flamingo strongly advises that you should carry a travel insurance with you, with a minimum of USD250,000 coverage. We will not release any tour documents, unless the insurance copy is submitted to us. 
• Please note the insurance cost is not included in the tour cost. It is going to be additional. 

• Standard check in time is 3 pm and check out time is 11 am. 

• When you book the tour, the sales staff will provide you with the itinerary which specifies all details and is day wise. You last and final updates itinerary with all hotel names and address as well as internal flights (If any) will be shared with you by your sales representative before 7 days of your departure. 

• Manpower & Service Delays: New Zealand has a relaxed lifestyle and limited manpower, so please expect self-service at many places and some waiting time at attractions, cafés, and restaurants.
• Use of Disposable Cutlery: Some restaurants or cafés may use plastic or disposable cutlery due to operational practices.
• Optional Sightseeing & Activities: Activities like bungy jumping, helicopter rides, skydiving, jet boating, or scenic flights are optional and not included in the main tour cost. We can assist with bookings, but these must be paid for in advance.
• Itinerary & Sequence Flexibility: The tour itinerary and sightseeing sequence may change depending on weather conditions, road closures, ferry schedules, or operational reasons, as New Zealand weather can vary by region.
• Travel Duration: Some days may involve long drives, especially routes like Christchurch to Queenstown, or day trips such as Milford Sound, depending on your itinerary.
• Local Conditions: Weather in New Zealand can be unpredictable, particularly in South Island. Activities like cruises, helicopter tours, or adventure sports may be canceled or rescheduled for safety reasons.

• We generally choose airline carriers that offer convenient options for group travel.
• All group tour bookings are in Economy Class by default. If you prefer to upgrade to Premium Economy, Business, or First Class, we’re happy to assist - additional charges and availability conditions will apply.
• Internal flights are mainly low cost carriers and hence meals and refreshments are not served on board. We suggest carrying some dry snacks for added comfort during your journey.
• It is very much possible that flights are via point flight too with layover ranging from 1 to 3 hours. 
• Due to domestic carriers being small aircraft we might have to split the group to different flights with similar timing as well. 
• Domestic Flights: Baggage allowance on internal flights within Australia may be lower than international flights (generally 20–23 kg). Any excess baggage cost will be borne by the passenger.

• The hotels on tour are comfortable and have been appreciated by our guests in the past.
• Hotel accommodations may vary depending on flight timings and room availability. 
• Room assignments are managed solely by the hotel, and while we do forward special requests (such as adjacent rooms, same floor, or preferred views), they are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
• The category of hotels on international tours is a mix of three-star, three-star superior, and basic four-star. Kindly check your respective hotels before booking your tour. 
• Guests are responsible for any damage caused to hotel property or tour vehicles during their stay. We shall not be held liable for any such incidents.

• Your tour manager will not be travelling with you in the flights. He / She will meet you directly in the first hotel of your tour / airport (if there is a transfer) 
• It is not necessary that the tour manager travels with you in the internal flights as well. 
• Your tour manager may change the flow of sightseeing for the betterment if need may be. 

• The tour group size will range between 25 to 50 passengers, and the coach will be filled to its full capacity.
• The first row of seats on both sides is reserved for the Tour Manager and Guide.
• Seat rotation is mandatory for all passengers; seats must be changed daily as per group travel norms.
• Eating, drinking, and smoking inside the coach are strictly prohibited.
• Coach Captains are bound by New Zealand driving laws, which regulate maximum driving hours per day and per week. All itineraries are planned accordingly, and passengers must strictly follow reporting times to avoid delays.
• Coaches of various capacities (30-seater, 49-seater, or 55-seater) may be used depending on the group size, and full capacity utilization is expected with minimal empty seats.
• Wi-Fi is generally not available on board the coach.
• Passengers are advised not to leave valuables in the coach, as safety cannot be guaranteed.
• Any damage to the coach caused by a passenger will be charged to the individual responsible.
• Air-conditioning may take time to become effective depending on outside temperatures and weather conditions.
• Some coaches may have an onboard toilet, but it is for emergencies only. Regular washroom breaks will be provided throughout the journey.

• Initial deposit - rs. 50,000/ to confirm you’re booking with us. If you are applying visa with us then you need to pay visa fees additional. 
• 2nd Payment - Rs.  1, 00,000/- 95 Days Prior to your Departure. 
• 3rd Payment – Rs.  2, 00,000/- 60 Days Prior to your Departure.
• 100% payment to be made at least 45 Days Prior to your Departure.
• The AUD component will never be freezed. ROE will be considered on the date of payments given, towards AUD portion.
