a. You have to get up and down the coach multiple times a day.

b. All the places have designated pickup and drop off point and therefore walking is involved.

c. We do not get anyone to push the wheelchair for us so we have to do it by ourselves.

d. It is not possible to drag the wheelchair because most cities have cobbled stone streets, mainly the old parts of the city.

Europe has many things to offer to our junior travellers. Mountain excursions & snow activities, Disneyland Paris, Mini Europe in Brussels and Zannse Schaans in Netherlands are some of the perfect activities for your children to get engage on tour. However please note below points before you finalize the tour.

a. We do not recommend to travel with kids below 3 years as we have many early mornings in the tour, mountain excursions can be challenging due to harsh climate & due to age and height restrictions many rides and activities are restricted on tour.

b. Italy as a destination may not be great fit for smaller kids of age around 3 to 5 years. You have other tour options to choose from.

c. Please understand before booking that the tour is going to be quite fast paced so please refer to above table and choose correct tour as per your interest.

  • Advance booking of European holidays 4 – 6 months in advance is very much ideal.
  • Advance planning will help you to apply visas on time which in turn can save lot of last minute hassle and cancellations.
  • The earlier you plan the better cost advantage you get.

Europe tour has a lot of walking involved.
a. Cities are best explored by walking and therefore we do many city tours full or part by walk.
b. Also Europe has designated pick up and drop off points therefore to reach hotel, sightseeing, attraction and restaurant one has to walk.
c. Coaches have restrictions to go into historical centres of many cities such as Rome, Florence, Pisa, etc so all these city tours will be done by walk.

Therefore, please be prepared to walk daily from 3-6 kms approx. and on some days more.

No, Switzerland isn't part of the European Union (EU). Despite being geographically located in Europe, surrounded by EU member countries like Germany, France, Italy, and Austria, Switzerland has chosen to maintain its independence and neutrality.

Reasons for Non-Membership
Neutrality: Switzerland has a long history of neutrality and prefers to stay out of international conflicts.
Direct Democracy: Swiss citizens have a strong tradition of direct democracy, voting on major policy decisions, including EU membership.
Sovereignty: Switzerland values its independence and prefers to make decisions autonomously.

Relationship with the EU
Bilateral Agreements: Switzerland has negotiated bilateral agreements with the EU, allowing participation in certain aspects of the single market.
Schengen Area: Switzerland is part of the Schengen Area, enabling free movement of people across borders.
Trade and Economy: Switzerland has close economic ties with the EU, with many agreements facilitating trade and cooperation.

Therefore Swiss do have different currency as Swiss Francs (CHF) than other EU members.

Brexit refers to the United Kingdom's (UK) withdrawal from the European Union (EU), which officially took place on January 31, 2020. The term "Brexit" is a combination of "Britain" and "exit," coined to describe the UK's decision to leave the EU.

Each European city has a distinct identity — London’s royal culture, Paris’s romance, Lucerne’s alpine charm, Venice’s canals, Rome’s history, etc.

The English Channel is busy and iconic waterway separating southern England from northern France. Here are some cool facts:
Key Facts
Length: Approximately 560 km (350 miles) long
Width: Varies from 240 km (150 miles) at its widest to 34 km (21 miles) at its narrowest (Dover Strait)
Depth: Maximum depth around 174 meters (571 feet)
Shipping: One of the world's busiest shipping lanes with ferries, cargo ships and tankers
History: The Channel has played a significant role in European history, including World War II and the Norman Conquest

Eurotunnel: The Channel Tunnel (Eurotunnel) connects England and France, allowing trains and vehicles to cross underwater
Route & Duration: London to Dover  - By Bus 128 Kms 2 Hrs  // Dover to Calais by Tunnel – 1 Hr // Calais to Paris – By Bus 288 Kms 4 Hrs Approx // Total Duration: 7 Hrs Approx
To Note: When you cross the tunnel, you are in a closed train where the coach is parked inside the train and outside it is not visible. It looks like below:
Total Duration: 7 Hrs Approx

Ferry: There are very regular ferry boats from Calais to Dover, many companies do offer such as Irish Ferry, P& O Ferry and more
Route & Duration: London to Dover - By Bus 128 Kms 2 Hrs // Dover to Calais by Tunnel – 1.45 min Hr // Calais to Paris – By Bus 288 Kms 4 Hrs Approx //
Total Duration: 7.45 Hrs Approx
To Note: Ferry is beautiful to cross English Channel as boats are well designed where the coach gets parked at the bottom of the ferry. One is free to go up to sit & relax in sitting area or go up to the deck in summer months to enjoy beautiful sea side views.

*We use ferry in all our group tours for crossing English Channel when group is bigger than 15 Adults. If less than 15 adults we offer flight from London to Paris. Passengers number below 15 are considered as Individual travellers and  logistically it is possible to operate the same.

Eurostar: Train from London Centre to Paris Centre
Route & Duration: 2.30 Hrs + travelling time to stations to hotels and vice versa (Total duration 43.0 Hrs Approx)

To Note:
a. Platforms open only 5 – 10 mins before departure and practically for senior citizen to reach to their compartment with luggage is very difficult.
b. As European travels has quite light luggage space. There is not enough space in the boggy for luggage.
c. More expensive option than above two
d. Logistically more difficult for us and the tour leader to operate on tour.

However you can upgrade the same if you wish to do it individually by contacting your sales staff.

Switzerland is world-famous for mountain excursions because of its breathtaking Alpine scenery and the ease with which travellers can reach high-altitude viewpoints using efficient cable cars, cogwheel trains and funiculars. Mountain excursions are very famous because

  • Iconic Peaks: Switzerland is home to legendary mountains like the  Jungfrau, Titlis, Glacier 3000, Matterhorn and Pilatus, which are recognized worldwide for their dramatic shapes and panoramic views.
  • Scenic Accessibility: Unlike many mountain regions, the Swiss Alps are extremely well-connected — you can reach 10,000-ft peaks from major cities like Interlaken, Lucerne, or Zermatt in just a few hours by train or gondola.
  • World-Class Infrastructure: Swiss mountain railways such as the Jungfrau Railway and Titlis Rotair (the world’s first revolving cable car) offer not just transport, but an unforgettable experience.
  • All-Season Beauty: Whether it’s summer with green meadows and glacial lakes, or winter with snow-covered landscapes, the excursions are stunning all year round.
  • Adventure & Comfort Together: From sky-high restaurants and snow walks to ice caves and suspension bridges, the excursions combine adventure with comfort — ideal for families, couples, or senior travellers.

Typically, 2–3 mountain excursions are perfect for a well-balanced Swiss itinerary. Here’s why:

  • Doing more can feel repetitive and time-consuming, as each excursion takes at least half to a full day.
  • What we offer in our itinerary, each excursion offers a unique highlight:
  • Jungfraujoch – “Top of Europe” with snow experience.
  • Mt. Titlis – famous for the rotating gondola and suspension bridge.
  • Glacier 3000 – Supension Bridge walk, Adventure activities and mountain views. (Only on our Enthralling Tour.) (When 4 nights in Swiss we offer 2 Mountain Excursion and 6 nights in Swiss we offer 3 Mountain Excursion)

👉 So yes, 2 to 3 excursions are ideal — they give a taste of the Alps without exhausting your schedule, leaving time for lakes, cities, and cultural sights.

Instead of staying overnight in Rome, many group itineraries prefer a full-day excursion from Arezzo. This approach offers better logistics, comfort and cost efficiency — while still covering all the major sights of Rome.
  • Travelling from Arezzo to Rome by coach takes around 2.5 hours one-way, which is manageable for a day trip.
  • Guests can leave their luggage safely at the Arezzo hotel and travel light — saving time during check-in/check-out and hotel transfers in a large city like Rome.
  • This allows maximum sightseeing time with minimum transit stress.
  • Next day itinerary becomes better as you are already at north of Rome so this saves time.
  • ✅ Summary of Benefits

European tours are designed to cover multiple countries and iconic cities in a limited number of days — usually 10 to 15 — and that naturally leads to shorter stays (1–2 nights per city) and frequent hotel changes. Let’s break down the reasons behind it:

  • Unlike other continents, European countries are small and well-connected by highways and rail networks.
  • In just a few hours, you can move from France to Switzerland to Italy — each offering very different culture, food, and experiences.
  • To let travellers see “more of Europe” in one trip, itineraries are designed to cover several destinations in limited time.
  • Most Indian travellers plan 10–15 day holidays.
  • To experience major highlights — London, Paris, Lucerne, Venice, Rome, etc. — tours must move almost daily to fit all the attractions.
  • Hence, shorter hotel stays allow covering maximum sightseeing within the time frame.
  • Group tours run on tight schedules with pre-fixed hotels, meals, and sightseeing.
  • Staying 1–2 nights ensures the group can progress forward geographically without returning to the same city — maintaining a smooth flow.
  • Frequent movement ensures travellers enjoy a wider variety of landscapes, cuisines and cultures — one of the biggest appeals of Europe tours.
  • As you know European tours are quite on the go with fixed schedule for everything and the agenda of the tour is maximum exploration, so we have very limited or almost no free time for shopping on the tour. If you wish to go on shopping spree or you are someone who loves doing it then we request you to extend your stay either pre or post tour depending on your shopping interest.

However almost every Europe tour includes a visit to the Eiffel Tower but guaranteed entry tickets (especially to the summit or 2nd level) can’t always be confirmed in advance for group departures due to several operational and policy factors.

  • The Eiffel Tower has a fixed capacity for each time slot and level.
  • Tickets are released online in limited batches — and large group blocks (40–50 people) are often hard to get together in the same slot.
  • During peak travel months (April–October), tickets sell out months in advance.

Therefore, we must que at Eiffel Tower to go upto 2nd Level or the Summit (3rd level).

Due to heavy winds or any other practical issue if 3rd floor is closed for visit and if we can visit 2nd floor (in that case the difference between 2nd and 3rd floor will be refunded to you) if we can’t do any floor at all full ticket cost will be refunded.

  • Panoramic trains in Switzerland are special scenic trains designed with large glass windows that allow passengers to enjoy uninterrupted views of the country’s stunning landscapes — snow-capped Alps, crystal-clear lakes, green valleys and charming villages — all from the comfort of their seats.
  • They are not just a mode of transport, but a sightseeing experience in themselves.
  • In our tours Exotic Europe, European Elegance, Extravagant Europe and European Enthralling we offer Golden Pass Train Ticket.
  • Golden Pass Train is very well known for its outstanding views of vineyards, lakes and mountain peaks.

Keukenhof Garden, also known as the Garden of Europe, is one of the largest and most famous flower garden in the world, located in Netherlands — about 40 minutes from Amsterdam. It is world-renowned for its spectacular display of tulips and other spring flowers, attracting visitors from all over the globe each year. Every year, more than 7 million bulbs (including tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, lilies, orchids and roses) are planted by hand across 32 hectares of land.  In 2026 Tulip garden is open from 19 March 2026 to 10 May 2026. If your tour reaches with in this dates to Amsterdam you will be able to visit the tulip garden.

Zaanse Schans

  • Zaanse Schans is a historic village-neighbourhood in just north of Amsterdam, in the Zaan region of the Netherlands.
  • It features working windmills, traditional wooden houses, craft workshops (like clogs, cheese, dye mills) and offers a glimpse into Dutch 18th- and 19th-century industrial and rural life.
  • Entry to the outdoor area is free; some windmills and museums charge a fee.

Madurodam

  • Madurodam is a miniature park located in The Hague (Scheveningen district) in the Netherlands.
  • The park showcases detailed 1:25 scale models of famous Dutch landmarks, cities and infrastructure (canals, windmills, airports) with interactive elements.

We include Zaanse Schaans in our tours because:

  • It has more in depth cultural experience.
  • We include something similar to Madurodam in Brussels which is Mini Europe where you shall see all European monuments in miniature format. As all monuments are European, it’s more relatable to the travellers.
  • On Swiss Mountain Peaks one will get to experience some snow.
Disneyland Paris is Europe’s most magical destination, offering two world-class theme parks filled with Disney characters, thrilling rides and cinematic adventures.

🎢 Disneyland Park – The main fairytale park featuring iconic attractions, parades and Sleeping Beauty castle.

🎬 Walt Disney Studios Park – Movie-themed Park with behind-the-scenes rides and Pixar, marvel & Hollywood experiences.

We include 1 day / 1 Park ticket on all our tours and it’s practically impossible to do both parks in one day. If you have kids and looking forward to do both the parks, we recommend you to increase a night in Paris.

  • If you do not wish to do Disneyland Paris, then reduction in the tour cost is as given below:
  • Adult : EUR 60.00 per person // Child: EUR 50.00 per child

One can opt for:

Usually a packed meal which, in this cold weather is very difficult to eat. Also place where to eat is also a question mark.

Hotel Choice

We have plenty of choice.

Not all braded hotels do allow caravan due to strict rules about health & safety,  so we have to compromise on hotels

Overall Experience

Premium, comfortable

Basic, functional

Our tours usually starts from dinner and ends with breakfast.

  • Breakfast: Your breakfast is normally a continental breakfast which will usually have tea or coffee, juices, cereals, milk, breads, butter and jam. Usually no Indian item, but masala chai or jain item may be available. For groups there are fixed time slot allocated for the breakfast and no free and easy system is there.
  • Lunch & Dinner: All our lunches and dinners will be pure Indian vegetarian meals. Your typical meal will consist of two main veg dishes, naan or roti, dal, rice, salad and sweet or ice cream. We offer these meals at Indian restaurants. 1 or 2 meals in the tour can be pizzas and pastas to provide variety of cuisines. No Indian items will be provided on that day.
  • Jain passengers: Please note, the Jain food which may be provided will be without onion, garlic & potatoes. Any further restriction from the above for vegetables etc cannot be accommodated. Also there will be restricted choice of vegetables and curry items for Jain passengers.
  • Non Veg Passengers: We provide only one item that too during DINNERS ONLY.
  • Some of meals will be packed meals on the tour for betterment of itinerary and convenience of our passengers.
  • Meals doesn't include any drinking water or water bottles, beverages hard/soft drinks and fruit juices.
  • In some European cities soup, starter or deserts served are limited.
  • Please note that lunch and dinners are in restaurants, which may be far from your hotels.
  • Yes, tap water is absolutely drinkable in Europe. It’s a good idea to carry water bottle from here which you can fill it up for your hydration requirement. We do not provide any water bottles on the tour.

  • Our tour leader do carry instant tea mix packets generally which you can take it from them to make your tea by just adding hot water and you shall get a wonderful masala chai. We also provide the same as departure gift for the tour and we strongly recommend you to carry the same with you on the tour. As tour leaders have limited capacity to carry tea packets.

  • No, Indian items are not available during the breakfast on the tour. However we do try to help give at some places but can’t be guaranteed due to safety, as lot of hotels do not allow outside food.

  • Usually restaurant found in this cities are smaller compared to restaurant we see in India and relatively very small as they are not built to cater to as large crowds as India. They usually have reasonable décor but nothing fancy.

European group tours are planned keeping in mind general interest, budget, duration, logistic and comfort, etc. Please note some of the following reasons for choosing the hotels outside the centre.
  • City centre hotels are usually smaller with very small rooms and many times built in older buildings.
  • City centre hotels in Europe are much more expensive due to high demand and limited space.
  • Staying slightly outside helps to control tour costs, allowing us to offer competitive pricing without compromising the comfort.
  • Large coaches face restricted entry, parking or drop-off zones inside city centres. Outskirt hotels have ample parking space, making arrivals and departures smoother for big groups.
  • Outskirt hotels are often located en route to the next destination, helping to avoid backtracking or passing through major traffic when going to next destination.
  • Staying outside doesn’t mean missing out — groups does visit city centres during the day for sightseeing and return to outskirt hotels at night.
  • This ensures that travellers get the best of both worlds — city experiences + value for money accommodation.
In short, hotels in the outskirts are more economical, convenient for coach travel and comfortable for groups, while still allowing full city sightseeing — making them the smarter choice for European group tours.

  • Group travel is a pre fixed tour itinerary where all components are pre fixed. Changing hotel on tour is a practical idea but logistically it is not possible to do multiple picks before starting the tour. It wastes time for all. So changing of hotel is not provided.

  • Of course you can choose upgrade your room at an additional cost but it is subject to availability at the hotel. Please contact your sales staff for the same.
We do offer standard rooms (run of the house) on all our tours. Which includes double (2 adults or 2 adults + 1 child no bed) or twin (2 adults, 2 adults + 1 child no bed) and triple (3 adults or 3 adults + 1 child with bed).
Please note below while selecting your room configuration.
  • Most hotels have twin rooms and less double rooms. Even if pre requested the same is not guaranteed.
  • Double/ twin and triple room size is always the same.
  • In triple room extra bed is usually rollaway bed or mattress.
  • Quad rooms are generally not available in Europe. Most hotels do not allow 4 persons in one room due to fire safety rules and smaller size of the rooms.
Wi-Fi: Most of the hotels has the free Wi-Fi across the hotel in almost all major cities. However remote cities may have in lobby but may not be available in rooms.
Safe Deposit Box:  Very few hotels have.
Hotel Water Kettle:  Almost no hotel has. However you can get hot water from the bar for making tea / coffee.

a. Rooms in European hotels are very small. Size is around 16sqm to 20 sqm.
b. Some hotels do not offer triple rooms due to size of the rooms, they usually give 1 double + 1 single room to accommodate.

European hotels due to strict Environmental conservational Law policies; in Europe most good 4* chain hotel do follow below.
a. Amenities put in the rooms are very basic or close to almost nothing as when don’t get used they have to throw them so to save wastage they out in minimum. Some hotels do keep them at the reception or in housekeeping and by calling them you may be able to get them.
b. Daily cleaning, changing of towels and sheets are not a daily thing now. If you need during your stay it can be done on request.

  • In the hotel 4 Persons in one room is not recommended because European ours are on the go, which starts early morning and finishes only after dinner. Therefore it is very difficult for entire family to get ready in small room with 1 bathroom.

  • Due to climatic conditions most hotels in Europe are not built with Air conditioning. Especially the hotels in Switzerland, Germany & Austria.
  • Due to very strict Environment Conservation law if temperature does not reach certain degrees they will not start air conditions (if they have) or heater.
  • Many hotel have climate control which is not privately controlled from room rather it is centrally controlled and the same only goes to 2-3 degrees than outside temperatures.
  • Ac’s also have temperature control due to environment law and usually it does not works like India it may go down few degrees.
  • It is very common to get heat wave in Europe and hotel typically can ask you to open the windows or offer a table fan.

  • If you are travelling alone or require single room you are required to pay single supplement as usually costing is done on twin share basis.

  • Hotel standards in Europe are generally different from Asia and America — rooms tend to be much smaller, simpler, less amenities or facilities and more compact, even in similar star categories.
  • Standard group check-in time is 1600 Hrs and check-out is 1000 Hrs
  • If you have an early arrival or late departure, please note that you will have to check-in or check-out the room accordingly.
  • Our tour starts with dinner on 1st day and ends with breakfast on last day. We can provide extra meals at a cost if required.
  • If you wish to have guaranteed early check-in or late check-out you can opt for the same by paying extra cost charged by the hotel which is subject to availability.
  • Airport transfers are included for all the guests; provided they are arriving and departing on the same day of the tour.
  • Transfers are provided on seat in coach basis where other travellers like you will be travelling with you.
  • We combine guest arriving in 45 minutes duration and provide them transfer so you may have to wait for some time before you get transferred.
  • If you are arriving by any other mode of transportation or staying at other hotels or friends and relatives place logistically it is not possible to provide the transfers.
  • The transfers are booked way much in advance. The same can be changed or amended only until 96 Hrs (Working Hours, Weekends don’t count) before departure. If anything happens after that the same can’t be changed nor refunded. One must take a taxi from airport to hotel and transfer themselves. There will be no refund on unutilized services with 96 Hrs.
  • If you are arriving by any other mode of transportation or staying at other hotels or friends and relatives place logistically it is not possible to provide the transfers.
  • Tour leader will be picking big group transfer or will be at the hotel to receive you.
  • Regret to inform that refund is not possible.

When travelling to multiple countries in the Schengen area, the general rule is to apply a visa from the main destination or the country where you will spend the most time. Here’s a breakdown of the guidelines:
1. Longest Stay: If your trip involves multiple Schengen countries, apply for your visa from the country where you will stay the longest.
2. Main Destination (Primary Purpose): Apply for the visa from the country where your primary purpose of travel lies, business or visiting family/friends. Then 1st condition does not apply. Even if you are doing day trip or staying minimum nights in that country you will have to apply visa from that country and not the longest stay. Any other purpose of travel tops tourism and we must apply our visa from that country.
3. Entry Point: If your stay is equally divided among the multiple countries, apply for the visa from the country where you will enter the Schengen area first.
4. Not required to apply from the First Country You Enter: If you are entering through a Schengen country where you will not stay long, but it's just the first point of entry, you don't need to apply for your visa from there.
5. Make sure to check the specific visa application requirements of the country where you are applying, as visa processing rules may slightly differ between Schengen states.
6. For certain countries you may be requiring pre-approved ETA (electronic travel visa), depending on your nationality.
7. Foreign Nationals should check their visa requirements in their country for Schengen & UK, Flamingo will not be responsible for rules applicable in your home country.
