Geography in Munnar

Munnar is a hill station in the mountain scopes of Western Ghats and lies at an elevation of right around 6000 ft. from ocean level. It is situated at the conversion of three waterways, Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly. Consequently the name 'Munnar' which implies three waterways in the local language, Malayalam. The locale of Munnar covers a territory of around 557 sq. km. also, is acclaimed for the rambling tea homes on the moving slopes. The town is home to a great deal of endemic and endangered species of flora and fauna.
