National Institute for Zorig Chusum
The National Institute for Zorig Chusum, popularly known as the painting school, not only maintains but also passes on traditional Bhutanese art to future generations. It's fascinating and motivating to watch young kids work with complete focus.
Paintings, woodcarvings, sculptures, and other mediums are used to teach students about their country's history and art. One of the best locations to visit in Thimphu is the National Institute for Zorig Chusum. Bhutanese people have preserved their art for decades, and now this institute educates younger generations about it.

Textiles Museum
At the National Textile Museum, visitors can learn about the differences in fabrics and weaving styles from one region to the next across the country. In terms of clothing and textiles, the National Textile Museum provides an insight into Bhutanese history. Traditional Bhutanese artefacts such as wedding gowns worn by prior kings and queens, traditional nomadic fabrics, and much more can be found.

Motithang Takin Preserve Centre
The Motithang Takin Preserve is a wildlife reserve protecting takin (Budorcas taxicolor), Bhutan's national animal. It is located in the Motithang district of Thimphu, Bhutan.Early dawn is the greatest time to see the takin up close, as they congregate along the fence to feed.. The most striking traits of this species are its enormous noses, large heads, and hefty torsos, which set it apart from others. The animal's origins are based on a mythological story with religious overtones.Drukpa Kunley, a prominent Buddhist yogi, is said to have created the animal with the body of a cow and the head of a cow, according to legend. This animal's migratory nature is one of its most notable characteristics.

National Library in Bhutan
The National Library was founded in 1967 with the goal of preserving historic Dzongkha and Tibetan writings as well as promoting Bhutan's rich cultural and religious history. It's mostly interesting to tourists as a wonderful example of traditional Bhutanese architecture, but there are also amazing historical images and a copy of a letter issued by the Druk desi (secular king) to British army officer and surveyor Samuel Turner in 1783 on the top level.
All facets of Bhutan are maintained at the National Library, from religious to socio-political. Every topic is covered in books that are easily accessible to the general population.
